Description

Mechanism of action

Steroids closely copy the effects of hormones normally produced by the adrenal glands. When taken in doses higher than the amount your body normally produces, steroids reduce redness and swelling (inflammation). Steroids also reduce the activity of the immune system.

Contraindications

-Hypersensitivity to prednisolone or any of the excipients.

-Systemic infections unless specific anti-infective therapy is employed.

-Ocular herpes simplex because of possible perforation.

-Patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medicine
