07

Q

Why did you ask for prescription originally but now you are selling it without prescription?

A

It was unclear whether the MHRA were going to classify this chemical compound as a medicinal product, a medical device or a cosmetic. Given the fact that there is a product which is molecularly very similar to this (one product is the carboxylic acid & the other product is the ester), the acid is a prescription-only medicine, therefore, it would be reasonable to assume POM status for the other product until told otherwise-this was also the safest option.
