What is Profhilo Body?
Prohilo body offers a new approach to skin tightening via injectable bodycare. The treatment aims to combat laxity, a common concern for mature skin and those who have undergone physical changes as a result of pregnancy or weight loss. It is intended for tissue remodelling and aims to improve the appearance of the skin quality. The treatment is suitable for use on the inner arms and the abdomen area and can also be used to treat other areas such as the hands .
It is often marketed as a ‘lunchtime treatment’ due to its non-invasive nature and requires minimal downtime.
How Does it Work?
Utilising the same technology as the Profhilo skin booster, Profhilo body is formulated with highly concentrated and stabilised non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid at different molecular weights. The formula is intended to bio-stimulate the production of collagen and elastin by slowly releasing HA over the course of around 28 days. This in turn hydrates and ‘remodels’ the skin, resulting in its Hydrolift® Action.
Profhilo Body Treatment Timeline
Results are expected to show at one-month post-treatment. For best results it is recommended to undergo two treatments, spaced four weeks apart. The treatment is often combined with fat-dissolving injections or other body rejuvenation treatments to produce optimal results.
Patients can expect to see an improvement in visible hydration and a reduction in lines and wrinkles along with an improvement in laxity for around 6-9 months. The treatment promotes firmness and elasticity to create the appearance of more youthful-looking skin.
Aftercare
The Profhilo Body Kit is supplied with four Profhilo Figura Body Patches. The patches are designed to be used as a follow-up post treatment, providing topical hydration and soothing benefits to help calm post-treatment redness. Each patch is formulated with pure, high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, along with Salvia Haenkei extract to benefit recovery with antioxidative activity. Escin helps to prevent fluid build-up, while Bromelain works to further calm and condition.
The kit also features the Profhilo Figura Body Cream. A hydrating and toning cream that offers deep moisture to help support skin elasticity, the Figura Body Cream is formulated with Matrixyl 3000 a firming peptide the helps to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles through collagen stimulation. The moisturiser is formulated with multi-molecular weight hyaluronic acid to draw moisture to the skin, helping to preserve the hydrolipidic skin barrier and prevent environmental damage.
