Can I Use *This* With *That*?

By Florence Goulbourne

“Can I use this needle with this skin booster? “Should I avoid using this cannula with this specific dermal filler? “What do I need to purchase alongside my toxins?”

Here at Fox Pharma, our customer service team are often asked about the most effective product pairings. Which products you choose to use in unison can often directly impact how you perform a treatment so, it’s critical that when choosing your products – you choose your pairings carefully.

New and emerging products are continuously added to our roster, due to the ever-evolving nature of the industry. In this post, we explore the best product pairings to help you navigate our product offering and optimise your treatments.

Dermal Filler Pairings

With a variety of dermal fillers now available for practitioners, injectables don’t match the one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to their pairings. Each dermal filler requires a tailored pairing to guarantee the best results and the REVOLAX range is no anomaly. A singular box of REVOLAX contains 1 syringe and 2 sterile needles. Practitioners don’t necessarily need to purchase additional needles, as the ones supplied are ideal for injection. However, some practitioners prefer to use an alternative needle to help with their injection process. REVOLAX + Dermasculpt Cannulas: Here at Fox, we recommend the Dermasculpt Cannulas for use in conjunction with the REVOLAX products, including Fine, Deep, and Sub-Q. The Dermasculpt Cannulas are blunt microcannulas, indicated for the medium to deep injection of thicker hyaluronic acid and non-hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. These cannulas can be used for most facial indications, helping to considerably reduce pain upon injection, whilst working to prevent bruising. The cannula operates on a single point of entry for wider coverage, helping to evenly distribute the injected dermal filler. The Dermasculpt Cannulas are available in an array of sizes however, the most effective pairing for the REVOLAX range is the Dermasculpt 25G (50mm) cannula. Skin Booster Product Pairings

Skin boosters are a popular treatment amongst practitioners and patients seeking radiant and rejuvenated skin. The Next Generation Skin Booster, Seventy Hyal 2000 is a true clinic staple, renowned for its hydrating and illuminating benefits.   Seventy Hyal 2000 + BD Microlance 3 Needles (30G x 13mm): As Seventy Hyal 2000 has a versatile injection protocol, practitioners need to ensure they are using the correct needles. This is to guarantee a pain-free injection process and results that meet the high expectations of patients.   Seventy Hyal 2000 doesn’t come equipped with needles so, we recommend pairing it with the BD Microlance 3 Needles (30G x 13mm) for easy and effective treatment.  BD Microlance 3 are stainless steel, hypodermic, single-use sterile needles with thin walls to help reduce patient discomfort. They are designed for easy penetration and smooth gliding force during insertion and withdrawal.   The reduced cannula friction while sliding through tissue allows for a comfortable and precise treatment for both practitioner and patient.   Shop Seventy Hyal 2000 here and the BD Microlance Needles here.

Seventy Hyal 2000 + Seventy Hyal Ice Packs:

For extra comfort, practitioners can opt to use the Seventy Hyal ice packs available here to help minimise patient discomfort and to reduce any post-injection bruising and swelling. Seventy Hyal 2000 ice packs are made of soft medical-grade material with non-toxic gel beads for a safe yet comfortable application. The ice packs are also leakage-proof with a high compression strength, helping to reduce swelling and alleviate pain.

Toxins Product Pairings

Toxins, also known as anti-wrinkle injections or more formally as botulinum toxins, are one of the biggest drivers of growth within the aesthetics industry. They are a popular treatment option for patients who wish to combat the visible signs of ageing and prevent further fine line and wrinkle formation. With toxin treatments rapidly on the rise, the high-standard of procedure protocol must be retained amongst practitioners. By guaranteeing the correct pairings alongside toxins, practitioners can continue to offer a safe and effective treatment for their patients.   Toxins + TSK Invisible Needle. The first pairing we would recommend for a toxin injection is the TSK Invisible Needle. The Invisible Needle is currently the thinnest aesthetic needle available on the market, 33% thinner than a 30G needle.   The latest advancement from TSK enabled an extremely narrow diameter, hence the name ‘invisible’. It is ideal for use with anti-wrinkle injections, promoting a positive treatment experience with reduced pain.   This needle can only be used with the Soft-Ject and 3Dose Luer-Lock Syringes also available at Fox Pharma. In addition to ensuring the correct needle choice, we would also recommend purchasing Tor-Bac, a bacteriostatic saline solution for intramuscular/intradermal injection – typically used for reconstitution with toxins.   See our range of toxins here and shop the TSK Invisible Needle and Tor-Bac on Fox Pharma at an affordable price point.

Mesotherapy Product Pairings

Mesotherapy is steadily on the rise, as patients look to condense laborious six-step skincare routines into intensive, targeted treatments. Mesotherapy is a non-invasive and non-surgical technique that utilises micro-injections of pharmaceutical preparations to rejuvenate and tighten the skin. Stayve Booster Starter Kit + ZGTS Derma Roller: Perfect for introducing mesotherapy into your clinic, the Stayve Booster Starter Kit includes 12 vials containing 5 different types of booster serums, seeking to address various skin issues. For the most effective results, we recommend pairing the Stayve ampoules with the ZGTS Derma Roller – an effectual treatment solution for skin regeneration and minimising the look of scars.   Utilising the ZGTS Derma Roller in advanced skin care treatments such as mesotherapy helps to combat skin concerns such as acne scarring, stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles, sun-damaged skin, and pigmentation. Furthermore, the ZGTS Derma Roller is available for clinical use in six different sizes including 0.5mm, 0.75mm, 1.00mm, 1.5mm, 2.00mm and 3.00mm – each with different properties to suit different treatment criteria. For example:
  1. 5mm: Boosts the absorption of serums, hair regrowth, fine lines, and eye treatment.
  2. 5mm, 0.75mm & 1.0mm: Acne scars, pore refinement, pigmentation.
  3. 5mm, 0.75mm, 1.0mm & 1.5mm: Anti-ageing/wrinkles and cellulite.
  4. 00mm, 1.5mm & 2.0mm: Cellulite, stretch marks and deep scars.
