Seventy Hyal 2000: Exploring The BAP Technique

By Florence Goulbourne

With Seventy Hyal 2000 taking the skin booster industry by storm, one of the most common questions we get asked by practitioners is: ‘What is the injection protocol for Seventy Hyal 2000?’.Unlike other Skin Boosters available, Seventy Hyal 2000 has a versatile injection protocol meaning that multiple methods of injection can be used depending on personal preference and skill. Popular techniques include the BAP technique, multiple manual injection technique and& a fanning retrograde technique with a needle or a cannula – appropriate when using Seventy Hyal for skin improvement in areas other than the face. However, the BAP technique is a common favourite due to the interchangeable injection procedure of the BAP technique, learnt by practitioners after working with other Skin Boosters.

But what is the BAP technique and how does it work with Next Generation Skin Booster, Seventy Hyal 2000?

The Bio Aesthetic Points technique, more formally known in the aesthetics community as the BAP technique is an injection protocol originally developed for one Skin Booster brand but now widely adopted as a preferred injection technique for other Skin Booster products by practitioners due to the various benefits.

These BAPs are anatomically-receptive and spread across the entire malar and sub-malar areas. With the unique injecting method of the BAP technique, the specific injection points support progressive diffusion of the Skin Booster across the widest sections of the face. As a result, maximum results can be achieved with fewer syringes and, by default – less discomfort for the patient.

With the BAP protocol, five strategic points of the face are chosen at either side to deliver intradermal injections of the Skin Booster which can also be used on the neck. The Bio Aesthetic Points selected are the areas of the face safe for a certain injection such as Skin Boosters. When the Skin Booster is injected using the BAP technique, the primary ingredient Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is diffused through the skin and forms a blanket under the skin to help hydrate the dermis – further aiding in skin texture and skin laxity.

The concept of the BAP technique is specifically designed to provide more even, natural results by improving all-over firmness, elasticity, and brightness through deep hydration when injecting Skin Boosters. According to patient feedback accumulated after clinical research, the BAP technique also fosters a gradual healing process post-treatment.

When it comes to the areas of the face – the most common marking points are as follows for either side of the face:

1.    The zygomatic protrusion (2cm from the outer corner of the eye): is a protrusion bone of the skull that forms the prominence of the cheekbone.

2.    The nasal base (2cm from the nasal fold): In-line with the pupil and across from the nasal fold.

3.   Inferior margin of the tragus (1cm interior to the tragus).

4.     Labial commissure/the chin (1/3rd of the way down from the centre of the lip with a marking of 1.5cm in either direction from the mid-line point).

5.    The jawline (1cm above the mandibular angle): The angle of the mandible is the triangular region bounded by the anterior border of the masseter muscle to the posterior and superior.

This injection protocol differs from other traditional mesotherapy injection techniques requiring various injection points across the face as it limits the injection points to only five sites on either side of the face. All ten injections using the BAP technique can be administered to a patient quite quickly which makes the BAP technique a more favoured method.

Moreover, with any injection, whether it be aesthetics or other, patients often express concern for pain, bruising and overall negative post-treatment side effects. However, with the BAP technique, there is a much more limited risk of bruising and less common occurrences of injection site redness and irritation. A clinical study of 60 patients found that the BAP technique showed a very high satisfaction rating for patients and practitioners alike.

In summary, the BAP technique is a suitable and popular injection protocol for Skin Boosters such as Seventy Hyal 2000.

However, this isn’t to say that this is the only injection protocol for Seventy Hyal 2000; as mentioned, Seventy Hyal 2000 has a versatile injection protocol meaning that various techniques can be used to administer the Next Generation Skin Booster.
