Kenalog is a prescription only medicine which contains the active ingredient Triamcinolone Acetonide. Kenalog is administered via intra-articular/intramuscular injection and is used to treat various allergic disorders including asthma, blood disorders, hormone problems, rheumatic fever, and problems associated with the digestive system. Kenalog is also used for the treatment of joint pain, swelling and stiffness in inflammatory disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis.

Mode of action:
Triamcinolone acetonide is a synthetic glucocorticoid with marked anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic actions.
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
- Systemic infections unless specific anti-infective therapy is employed.
- Administration by intravenous, intrathecal, epidural, or intraocular injection.
Warning:
Cases of serious anaphylactic reactions and anaphylactic shock, including death, have been reported in individuals receiving triamcinolone acetonide injection, regardless of the route of administration.
